Embracing change: We are upgrading our practice management and e-signature software

At Apiary Financial, we always strive to provide our clients with the best possible service. We believe that innovation is key to staying ahead in today’s fast-paced business environment. With this in mind, we are excited to announce a significant upgrade to our practice management software.

These changes are aimed at streamlining our services and ultimately improving your overall experience as our valued clients.

Hello Xero

Although our previous system has served as well and was once the best of its class, times have changed.  In order to better serve you, we have made the decision to transition our practice software to Xero’s Practice Manager. This is a significant upgrade and will provide us with advanced features and functionalities.

What this means for you

  1. The same high-level of security over your personal information as before. The big change is for us, as multiple internal systems will now be able to be connected. For your information, Xero employs a host of methods to ensure data security and integrity including:
    • Strong encryption methods to protect data both in transit and at rest;
    • Secure data centres featuring robust physical security measures;
    • Automatic software updates to ensure that the latest security patches and enhancements are promptly deployed;
    • User access controls which enable Xero administrators to effectively manage user roles and permissions, reducing the risk of unauthorised access and potential data breaches;
    • Two-factor authentication as an extra layer of protection against unauthorised access;
    • Audit trails to provide transparency about the activities performed on the file, such as user logins, data modifications and other actions performed; and
    • Compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) requirements for handling credit card information.
  1. New look to our invoices and flexible payment options. Our clients will soon be able to pay their fees online with their Visa or MasterCard through Stripe.  Stripe provides a convenient and secure payment option, employing advanced encryption technologies to protect credit card information during the payment process. Clients can have peace of mind knowing that their payment details are transmitted securely and stored in compliance with industry security standards.
  2. You don’t need to be using Xero as your accounting package. Whilst the majority of our clients do use Xero as their accounting software package, we understand that there are other options in the market that may also fit your needs. We have a substantial number of clients using MYOB, QuickBooks Online and other various accounting packages and we will continue to work with your chosen software. Whilst we consider Xero to be the best provider overall, you do not need to change just because we are. Having said that, if you wish to learn more about Xero and discuss the option of transitioning from your current system to Xero, we have been assisting clients with this process for some time and would be happy to discuss with you further.

After successfully using DocuSign for years, we have made the decision to switch to Annature as our preferred electronic signing software. This transition represents our commitment to providing our clients with the best possible experience and leveraging the latest advancements in e-signing technology.
